SNC is an Kids Summer Camp for boys and girls ages 6-15. Blending traditional summer camp activities while increasing a child’s appreciation for nature, science is our goal. We give children tools they need on their way to adulthood. Here is what some have had to say.
Swift was the BEST camp i have ever attended! the staff was caring, the whole camp was maintained perfectly and every cabin participated in frequent and awesome activities. They pay attention to table manners and make them fun. SNC has changed me as a person inside and out. with a limit of around 2 or 3 candies a week, it was a very healthe 2 weeks. I wait eagerly for the summer so that I can attend once again. -Gaby, A Former Camper.
The Swift Nature Camp offers kids an opportunity to mature and be on their own while having the support and help from the staff. The kids can bring their pet to the camp and get in touch with the nature. After 6 weeks at the camp, my 13 years old son became more responsible and thankful person. He is better organized at home and in school. He is going to the Swift Nature Camp this summer again.
This camp was a god send. I have sent my kids to numerous YMCA camps but nothing even compares to Swift. The love and compassion Lonnie and Jeff give to these kids is amazing. they make every kid feel very loved and cared for. This was my girls first year here. I was a little nervous sending them so far away for 3 weeks but Lonnie let me come and visit them on the weekends. When I came up to camp my girls were so happy I have not seen them just frre and careless in a long time. all they had were great stories about all the fun things they had done and the great Ice cream Jeff took them to go get down town. If you truly want your kids to have the best time of their life’s send them to Swift. My girls are begging to go to the 6 week camp. I’m already saving up. God bless you Lonnie and Jeff. You really made a difference in my girls life. Signed Joanne Martinez ( Bela and Rosie’s mom)
My kids love this camp. My daughter had a chance to go to Europe two summers ago but she said that she could go to Europe when she is older! Great, good old fashion camp with loads to do. No competitive pressures. Great staff.

Different Styles Of Toy Boxes
February 23rd, 2010
Keeping children’s toys in order can be a real pain, especially if you have more than one child, any parent of toddler aged children will tell you this. Toys tend to get spread all over the house and into a total mess, this is why good storage is needed. Whilst shelves can be useful they can also look very untidy if toys are crammed onto them. With this in mind toy boxes are a really good storage option and there are many different styles to choose from, such as:
Traditional styles- these tend to be made from wood and look very much like a chest. They are very good for people who have a traditional theme in their home or who want this in their child’s room.
Anyone who is concerned about the amount of space they have at home should choose boxes that stack with each other. Most often these are made from strong plastic and come in lots of colors.
Character boxes - boxes like this are very popular with younger children and they can be bought with cartoon characters on so on painted on them. They are really good if you have a cartoon character theme in the bedroom and look really effective.
Boxes with integrated seating - these are a good option if you have limited space in a room. As a child can sit on the top of the box they are multi-purpose. Not only that but children find this type of box a lot of fun.
These are just a selection of the styles of toy boxes that are available. When choosing one it is a good idea to think about your needs. Opt for stacking boxes for younger children with lots of toys, traditional styles or characters for themed rooms and so on.
Don’t know much about toy boxes? A toy box can add to the decor of your child’s room or nursery. You can buy many kinds of storage solutions to keep your house organized!

Plan For Pregnancy Tips
January 30th, 2010
Most woman are blessed with the capacity to bear a child at least once in her life. It is considered to be one of the greatest gifts that a woman can receive. Having a child also makes the couple draw closer together, and at this certain point in their lives they can actually start calling themselves a family. After learning that the woman is pregnant, most couples enthusiastically start planning for her pregnancy and eventual childbirth right away.
When talking about pregnancy, it is important to know about preconception issues. A check up with the physician or midwife would be advisable for the woman in order to get the facts on childbirth. Physical preparation is needed for giving birth, since this could really change the normal function of the woman’s body. A caregiver would be very helpful in preparing the woman’s body in conceiving, and also impart information concerning potential problems in pregnancy. Anxiety is often felt at this point, since the woman would really have to follow certain precautions in order to conceive a healthy baby. By seeking advice regarding on preconception, safety, lifestyle changes, prenatal vitamins, and the importance of folic acid, the woman could really prepare for giving birth.
To get ready for pregnancy, a change in the woman’s lifestyle is absolutely necessary. Smoking cigarettes is a big no. Alcohol consumption must be eliminated. A woman might need to lose or gain weight, according to her present weight relative to her height and build. Being too fat or too thin might bring complications for both the woman and the baby. A good start in preparing for childbirth would be to establish a regular fitness routine for the period of the pregnancy. Asking the physician about nutrition and working out would be advised for possible questions regarding exercise and food intake.
Getting more educated about the woman’s body while on the beginning stages of pregnancy is essential for proper knowledge of the situation. Various parts of a woman’s body have specific roles when it comes to pregnancy. Certain disorders from both prospective parents should be discussed with the physician for additional health background information. Anxiety and stress may also felt by the couple since this is a very critical stage for the woman. Preconception stress is normal in women about to give birth, considering factors such as scheduling, sexuality, and self esteem, among many others.
When preparing for childbirth, the couple should be confident enough to know how to handle a child. Knowledge of early pregnancy symptoms are also important since these are signs that giving birth would happen in due time. When the couple feels that they are ready, then a visit to the Obstetrician/Gynecologist would help in gleaning more information on pregnancy. At this point, the couple can make use of a pregnancy calendar in order to follow the due course of giving birth. Anxiety is often felt by women when they know that they are pregnant. Feelings of worry and tension are usual signs that shows her being anxious about being pregnant. But by spending time with your husband, finding time to relax and unwind, with good exercise, anxiety should not be much of a problem. All you have to worry about now is what are we going name our baby?
